Well, I suppose it could but the real question is SHOULD it eat suet? No, it shouldn’t. The product is far to high in fat and caged birds are prone to being over weight if fed fatty foods—being too fat leads to all sorts of health issues in our pet birds. Next problem is your bird can get suet on it’s feet & beak which means it will have suet (fat) on it’s feathers. Feathers and fat don’t do well together (think BP oil spill).
If they were my birds they would never get anywhere near suet. If you want them to eat fun stuff try doing your own baking http://www.cockatielcottage.net/biscuitsnbones/maincc.html
