I have 2 lovebirds. 1 is 7 months old. The other is 8 months old. They are not in the same cage.

Which one sounds like a boy and which one sounds like a girl?
They are both peach faced lovebirds

The 7 month old is a lot nicer, loves to socialize, he never bites, his head has changed colors. His Pelvic bones are really close. Only screams if the 8 month old screams to him. He is about double her size.

The 8 month old is a lot meaner, doesn’t like being around people, never changed colors. She screams a lot. Her pelvic bones are pretty far apart.

I know that the only way to know 100% is to get a dna test, i don’ t want to have that done at this time.

Which one sounds like a boy, and which one sounds like a girl?

My sister used to have lovebirds so I can tell you what I know. Females bite harder, are more aggressive, and sit on a perch with their legs further apart than a male. Males tend to have more intense coloring, will feed the female lovebird, and their tailfeathers are slightly rounded. I’d say that the 7 month old lovebird is a male. The 8 month old lovebird is a female. Hope that helps you out. Good luck with you and to your lovebirds.
