Question by pockylory: Quail Mating With Cockatiel?
What the what?! One of the male Chinese Painted Quails keeps staring at one of the cockatiels and does the “I can see a female quail” walk. Whenever the cockatiel goes on the ground, the quail starts mating with it! And the cockatiel just lets it.
Why do birds do this? x__x How can he confuse a cockatiel with a female quail (there are no females with him, just males)?
And I thought my ringneck dove / quail friendship was weird. :\
