Question by Angie: Parakeet and Cockatiel….?
when i first got my parakeet, someone gave us a cockatiel. my parakeet wanted to be friends with it, so it always flew over to it, but the cockatiel doesnt like it, but the parakeet still tries to fly over to it, and sometimes the cockatiel trys to bite him and other times he wants to be around him… what is with them? and what should i do??
they are both male and i dont think they both completely hate eachother…..so….ya

the cockatiel is probably being territorial, try to get them together in a place that isn’t near the cockatiel’s cage and then moniter them. it ,might also be because the parakeet is smaller. my cockatiels always gang up on the younger, smaller ones. just watch them and get them away from eacother if the cockatiel starts to bite too hard
