Question by Relief: Why do scientists think that a meteor made the dinosaurs go extinct?
Why do they exclude the idea that they had evolved into today’s reptiles? I also heard that birds were dinosaurs because there were feathered dinosaurs.. so why don’t they assume that all the dinosaurs evolved into today’s animals rather than explaining it by saying a meteor made them go?

Not all dinosaurs went extinct during the meteorpocalypse. The little ones survived and evolved.
