Goldfinch How do you make grackles go away?

Question by Sarah: How do you make grackles go away?
Every time I put out birdseed out for the birds, they eat all of it. I took the bottom off of one of my feeders so only the finches can eat the seed. I wonder how that will turn out. Right now I have all finch feeders including an American goldfinch feeder. No pesty Grackles on that. I have made loud noises but that does not seem to help. They fly back in a few minutes. What can I do?

Buy yourself a bird trapper for the grackles. Once you caught them, load the trap with the birds inside your car and drive a couple of miles. Stop the car and release the grackles back into the air. Hopefully, they won’t show up again.

Also, you could install those fake owls around your backyard and see what happens with that.
