Bird Table how do you eat a small roast bird politely?

Question by Mama Outlaw: how do you eat a small roast bird politely?
I’ve been roasting rock cornish hens. I like them. But…I find it difficult to eat them with knife and fork. The joints do not sperate easily. The whole bird rocks on the plate. The carcass looks like of shredded and gross.

Is their a pretty way to dispatch a little roast bird?

(I was vegetarian in my growing up years. I’m not very comfortable eating any bone in bird pieces at table.
