Question by jefftoddfamily@sbcglobal.net: Would it be stupid to wear a birdcage veil to prom?
I was inspired by Santana’s look off Glee when she sang “Valerie”.
I’m thinking about wearing a short dress and a birdcage veil. What do you think?

I would not do it, just because when I went searching for it just now, EVERYONE pictured wearing one is age 30′s-40′s. It just doesn’t strike me as something young and fresh that you’d want to wear to prom.
However, if it was on Glee, there is a slight chance it will take off, and you will be considered to have been ahead of the times by wearing it before they become popular again.
For me, I wouldn’t do it. If you are a risk-taker and want something that will be different and make you stand apart and look memorable compared to the others: go for it! Just make sure it comes off classy.

EDIT: I found a photo of the episode and outfit you were talking about. She pulls this off well because she has very dark hair and eyes, and the black veil doesn’t stand out too much. So if you have very dark hair and eyes, it might work well.
