Birds Of Prey what kind of birds can you use for falconry?

Question by Tim: what kind of birds can you use for falconry?
in california? what birds of prey can you use for falconry? i know that you can keep red tail hawk, american, kestrel and a bunch of other birds of prey, but is there like a list somewhere that shows the birds you can legally have for falconry?

Falconry is a very intensive sport that involves several years of apprenticeship, special caging requirements, and inspections from wildlife agencies before you can own one.

Also, there are different levels of falconers that can own different species of birds. For example golden eagles and many owls are for master falconers, only.

Beginners can usually keep red tails, peregrines, and kestrels.

Please consider purchasing a captive bred bird.
