I was really really confused what Thorn birds about like a girl likes a priest or something??? I really don’t know..like really can someone tell me whats it’s about….best answer wins!

You have it right.
The girl falls in love with a parish priest but the love can not be more than a sexual fling as he is a priest.
he makes his way to power in the church because of her support and contributions and in the end he is given her estate for the church.
Oh, yes, he gets her pregnant like in the Scarlett Letter and their daughter comes into the story as he learns she is his child.
