This is a robin standing on the chair outside our kitchen window. It is rare to see birds just outside the house but with the snow the birds will do whatever it takes to get a meal. Their is a bird feeder hanging a few feet away but as the weather has been so bad recently I have supplemented their diet with meal worms and a suet cake laid out on the slate table. This persuaded them to overcome their natural shyness and pose for my camera no more than 6 feet away.
