Wild Birds What is the life span of wild birds?

Question by lizzie borden: What is the life span of wild birds?
Such as Finches, Robbins and wild birds in general

Best answer:

Answer by Moth
Most wild birds (as in over eighty percent) die before their first year.
The ones that survive usually live a lifespan of five to seven years- in rare cases, nearly ten years.

Generally the bigger the bird, the longer it lives. A small house sparrow might only live five years while a robin will live upwards to nine. Your huge macaws can live over eighty years in captivity, albatrosses in the wild can live sixty or more years.
