Bird Feeding Cant get close enough to feed birds?

Question by GeminiGirl: Cant get close enough to feed birds?
Im trying to feed crows, because I think they look so cool. But none of them will let me get within 15 feet before they fly off. I just want to get close enough to throw seed near them, but I cant even get there. I take my time and walk up very slow, but no matter what I do they leave. Ive even tried talking softly because I read somewhere that that helps. Idk. Does anyone have advice thats been able to get somewhat close to wild birds before?

The birds are doing what they are supposed to do. Most of the time any person or other animal trying to get close to a crow would be trying to harm it. The only thing I can think of is to be patient, toss out the feed, keep your distance but remain in the area where the birds can be aware of you. They may eventually become more trusting and allow you to come a bit closer over time. A pair of binoculars would bring you allot of pleasure if you are wanting to see birds up close. Even an inexpensive pair will work fine.
