Thistle Bird Seed Wlid bird feeder HELP!!!?

thanks everyone who answered my last question but now i have more detail. like i said i lived in a large yard with many trees and evan a tree whers theres many birds and nest. however me and the neighbor have the same bird feeder but i have much more food for the birds hanging on the tree then him but i dont understand why they all go to his even though i have much more for them! at first there used to be like hella now thers only one and 7 on his. i do have 2 dogs which i heard might scare them but thier feeder is on the park way where cars park and past is it worse why dosent the birds eat at my bird feeder ANYMORE!!!! ps. i feel sad and the food is not wet or nothing its just pure wild bird seeds help plz!

Your dogs might be scaring them, especially if the dogs are outside. I’d encourage you to keep the dogs inside if you want to attract birds to your yard. The only thing I can think of, since you both have the same kind of feeder, is that the wild birds must prefer the food your neighbors are feeding them. Like I said before, I’d put out some black oil sunflower seeds, which are a favorite of many birds. You can include some suet and niger seed, too, to attract even more species of birds. Feed them some fruit, too, like grapes, oranges, and berries. You didn’t mention if you have a bird bath or any water source in your yard. If you don’t, that could be the other problem. Wild birds enjoy bathing and like to drink water after they eat. Give this a try and see what happens. I hope you start seeing some wild birds at your feeder soon.
