Pigeons What attacked my pigeon?

Can soem oen give me an idea what might of happend to my pigeon beacause it just disappeard there are no blood spots no feathers any where so can soem oen tell me what might of happend to it.
No my cat is not burping alot. All of your answeres are great so iam not going to choose a best answer.So it leaves it to running back to its old owner and some one stealing it but if they were to steal it why didnt they take the hen too. Also probably some hawk scared it off and it started to flyaway from it might of fought at some place else
there is nbo evidence offeathers or blood spots just a gone pigeon also if you go to close to it it flys away from you and no one here has pigeons it might of been scared of anf flown to the safest place iam goign to call the old owner and see if he has it hope he doesnt lie bc iam going to goto the monroe fair and see his birds and if he lies iam going to embarass him lol. I miss my pijjie and today the baby pijjie died
