Question by Liz Sheep: Is 1/2″ bar spacing to small for a medium sulphur crested cockatoo?
I’ve seen cages for sale with 1/2″ (or 1.5mm for the rest of the world) bar spacing for “smaller” cockatoos – which is what Elvis is, a medium sulphur crested.
Thanks
its a newer – but MUCH bigger cage, the bars are only 0.5cm smaller gap.
(just realized I put MM above – sorry! his old cage has 2cm bar spacing, the new one is 1.5cm but a good two foot wider over all, so much much larger cage for him)
Bar size is the same as the old cage – I at least remembered to check that before buying lol just forgot to check spacing other than it was escape and “head stuck” proof!

That is small, but if that is what you already have, then there is no problem for using it as long as it is a big cage.
