Question by : Birds Eye pictures of the earth?
I was wondering if anyone knew where i could get good resolution pictures of birds eye view of the earth?
I’m making an earth zoom effect for a short film where the camera zooms in from out of space right down onto a city.
I was thinking google maps, but they have google watermarks on them.
Can you by google earth and be able to save still pictures from it?

In what areas of the world do you need the pictures, or does it matter?
I regularly us a GIS application, but they use aerial photos in formats that you probably can’t use. However, a quick web search for “aerial photo libraries” you will probably be able to find what you need.
The link below is for the US National Aerial Photography Program, but there are many other sources, as well. Find a library where you can download file formats you can use easily.
