Bird Facts How do the birds migrate thousands of kilometres non-stop?

Question by Naanakka: How do the birds migrate thousands of kilometres non-stop?
It is learnt that the birds fly thousands of kilometres non-stop to reach the desired destinations every year. Is it true that they keep on flying non-stop and without food or water for many days? How is this becoming possible for the birds and how do they organise this annual trip to the different countries of destinations? Is it not nature’s wonder?

Yes, nature is wonderful. More people need to open their eyes to see the beauty that surrounds them.

As far as I know, birds to not migrate “non-stop”. They stop frequently, even during a single day, to rest and feed.

As you noted, it would be quite a feat for them to accomplish flying thousands of kilometers “non-stop”. If you read this somewhere, it may be referring to the fact that they migrate continuously, insomuch as that they do not linger in any one location, but continue their migratory trek each day, stopping only to feed and rest.
