Question by Molly: What health problems are cockatiels prone to?
I really want a conure, but I understand they are noisy and messier than say a parakeet or cocktiel. I was wondering if cockatiels are more likely to catch deadly diseases compared to a conure, specifically the green cheek conure. Thanks!

No bird is especially prone to diseases.
Conures are VERY noisy, aggressive and messy.
Cockatiels are also like this, with experience with all three!!
The Parakeet, though has been the nicest i have ever owned.
Well, actually i am currently owning one who is a sky blue yellow faced named Percy-NONE of them have ever been aggressive towards anyone.
I would recommend one of them being on themself.
People overlook them because they are small.
But, mine likes sleeping with me and is very sweet!
They are much easier and sweeter than Conures and Cockatiels.
None of them are actually prone to anything.
But, the Tiel usually get mites what will be cured easily.
