I need to know if there is a specific type of bird that likes to sit on top of african elephants. I think I’ve seen pictures of this…

Does anyone know what they’re called?? Or are they just random birds taking a rest?

They’re called oxpeckers. They feed off the insects that are on elephants and other large mammals such as ox, buffalo, etc. (And elephants, obviously.) Oxpeckers also feed off the blood of the animals they perch upon. I think there are two different species. Which one that go for the African elephant, I’m not sure of but they both are located in Africa so…
