Question by advait: where is the best place to buy a turtle in thornhill?
i live in markham, thornhill and i am getting a pet turtle. where is the best place to get a turtle around or in thornhill markham area?

it depends on what sort of turtle you want.
if you want a simple red eared slider, check on kijiji, there’s a whole ton of ppl selling them off for super cheap right now.

if you want a store turtles, so you get some guarentees, Shawn parker just reopeend All Reptiles over at kenedy and 401, he usually stocks a lot of red ears, and he usually has some red foots as well as a sulcata. he’s probably holding a lot of sales too.

there is the concord petshop over by york u, but they jack their prices up for everything very high.

and then of course there is the pj’s. i wouldn’t recomend getting anything except for a red eared from them, they would sell you a 200 dollar tortoise for 600.

if you can wait a few weeks, and if you have transportation, the toronto reptile expo is happening on nov 16 in missisauga, and you will definatly be able to get some beautiful animals as well as cheap supplies and accessories from there.

today is the calcedonia show, but it’s over at 4, and unless you leave your house NOW, i doubt it’s worth the 2 hour drive for you.
