Blue Jay Bird Q&A: What do i do to help a wounded blue jay?

Question by SnoopyDuke: What do i do to help a wounded blue jay?
I was walking one day and i saw a wounded blue jay. He had fallen from his nest and was definitely wounded. Unfortunately, my dad tried to pick it up and accidentally touched it. It got back in the nest, but the mom kicked it out. We’ve been barely keeping it alive by feeding it worms and mashed bananas. We wont take it in a cage or something because the wild is the place to be, but it’s starving. Please answer ASAP!!!!!!!

Take it to a nearby shelter or animal emergency clinic. They will know what to do best. Until then, keep feeding it worms and organic mashed fruits without seeds, and only give it pure (no chemical) water. I am surprised that if your just touched it a little the mom kicked it out of the nest. Birds will usually accept there baby back and sometimes adopt other abandoned babies if the ages are correct.
