Question by globalgirl2: Is The Birdcage based on La Cage aux Folles?
I know this may be a stupid question, but I’ve never actually seen La Cage aux Folles. I was listening to some of the soundtrack from La Cage aux Folles and it sounded similar to The Birdcage.
If you have seen both, how similar are they?

They’re exactly the same story. The only difference is that La Cage Aux Folles is a musical and The Birdcage isn’t.
