Question by audrey j: I am trying to identify a bird coming to our hummingbird feeder?
We live in Las Vegas, NV and have two small birds that come to our hummingbird feeder that are not hummingbirds. They are about the same size as hummingbirds, about 4″ but a little stockier. The back is yellow-green, the head has a yellow patch, the wings are brown and the belly is buff or tan. Their call is a loud chipping. I cannot find them on the internet under wild birds. They have been coming in over a year now.
