Birdcage cheap but actually functional vintage birdcages?

Question by Anonymous?: cheap but actually functional vintage birdcages?
I am getting 5 baby chicks in may, and i need a functional birdcage for them while they are babies, but i am a girl and i want them to be in a cute and decorative container, because i have a small room, and they will be in my bedroom. most vintage bircages are just decoration so those will not work. and real ones and decorative ones are usually expensive.

doesnt have to be legit vintage, as long as it has that cute pretty elegant style to it.

tweety bird has a cute cage…
silkie bantam chicks
and one regular hen chick.

Don’t use a vintage bird cage.

That is like going to the hospital, and using a vintage blood pressure cuff or a vintage stethoscope.

Some things were indeed better in the past. But not bird cages. There designs were harder to keep clean, and more awkward for the birds, and less safe for you, etc.

I know what you want … I did a keyword search for you “Victorian style” bird cage.

But what kind of chicks are you getting? If you are getting chickens, you will be in for a big surprise because they will make a huge mess and grow quite rapidly.

If you are getting a bird like finches, you should not get anything that is still a “baby.” They need to be weaned and out of the nest.
