Question by Ruffles: Why do I have aggressive blue birds in my yard?
These are not actually bluebirds. They are very bright blue with very long, curved beaks.
They land very close to me and seem like they’d even eat out of my hand after some getting used to. They are very aggressive, and other birds try to chase them away from trees.
They land on the fence and will smash their beaks against the top of it from side to side ….sort of like they’re sharpening them.
I’ve lived in this high-desert area for 23 years and have never seen these birds before.
Any ideas?
