Cornell Birds What kind of bird pretends to be hurt to lead predators away from their nest?

Question by Louise: What kind of bird pretends to be hurt to lead predators away from their nest?
My dad my brother and i heard of this bird that is very easy to look at their eggs because they try to lead yu away from them as you come closer.. does anyone have any ideas of what its called? Thanks!

For example, when Killdeer see a predator near their nest, they pretend to be hurt and flop around with their wing extended. Under their wing is a patch of rusty red color (it looks like it might be bleeding).
