Question by G: Why are people with bird feeders so concerned with making sure birds are the only things that can access them?
I keep seeing all these squirrel-proof bird feeders. Yes, granted that they are BIRD feeders, food is food, and when you toss food outdoors where countless animals roam about, what makes people think birds deserve the food more than any other animal? Is there any valid reason, or do pro-bird people just arbitrarily hate squirrels?

squirrels are annoying and very territorial, once they invade your backyard (or front yard) they can be quite the pests, but i agree with you 100%
