A few nice thorn birds images I found:
Northern Red Bishop Weaver – or ‘Orange Bird’ for Short
Does anyone know the name of this desert bird? It’s obviously orange, and lives in a desert climate. You can find him and a few like him in the Henry Doorly Zoo at the Desert Dome Exhibit.
He’s actually pretty small, somewhere between a sparrow and a large finch.
KCZooFan did know the name of the bird and pointed me in the right direction – check out his photostream here – www.flickr.com/photos/nvarvel/

Masked Weaver in Paperbark Thorn Tree
A Masked Weaver (male bird) trying to attract female birds to his new nest by doing a "song and a dance" close to the nest in the Paperbark Thorn Tree in my garden.
