Not just for the fact that it’s pretty awesome looking, but for the fact that it almost hit me as I was walking down the street in Moncton at the ECMA’s.

I had to stop and get a picture.

Anhinga or Snake Bird

Okay – today was a no fire hydrant, no dog show day. In fact, it’s been 100% a good day all day long. First of all, with all the rain we’ve had some of my favorite birds are returning. Here you see what I consider to be one of the most beautiful – the anhinga. Such amazing birds.

Not a great photo because it was behind the chain link fence but I just had to share since this is something I’ve been watching for at least for the past year.

Then, so totally out of character for me, we went to a Tea Party followed by a trip to Katy Mills and a very long walk and some retail therapy. And another totally out of character event – I cooked a meal this evening. Never let it be said I’m a Susie Homemaker – it’s a wonder my family didn’t leave me long ago. The end of a very nice day was I popped a cork on a bottle of East Texas, Piney Woods Winery – Peach Wine. Now I am ready to end the day with a smile and a visit to as many of your photos as my mellow mood will allow.
