And… there are a lot of birds in the botanical park. The parrots fly in a herd from this tree to that tree. I think those parrots deserve to be a trademark of Adelaide. I never expect parrots are common in a city. (Maybe Adelaide is a somewhat special city.)

공원에는 새가 굉장히 많았다. 앞에 올린 머리 삐죽한 비둘기도 있었고 까치 비슷한 것도 있었지만, 앵무새가 정말 많았다. 도심 속에서 앵무새들이 마구 날아다닐 줄은 정말 생각도 못했다. 매번 비둘기의 구구구-거리는 소리를 들으며 회색빛 도시에 사는 나로서는, 찬란한 색깔의 앵무새가 지저귀며 날아다니는 곳에서 사는 사람이 정서적으로 얼마나 풍요로울지 상상할 수 조차 없었다.
