You probably should go to a better source than here, since you need specific metals, paints, etc to not kill you bird.
I do know that you should never ever use chicken wire because its toxic to birds(also larger parrots will probably chew through it). Also, make sure that it isn’t easy to break into. People WILL try to steal/hurt them if they can break in (I knew someone that had her 2 macaws stolen by a few teenagers. They abused the parrots and threatened to hurt them if she tried to get them back. She got them back though and they’re now safe).
