Residents of the area got the council to hang bird boxes from the trees in Selly Oak Park. There are boxes to provide habitat for song birds, and also some for owls and bats.
This one was hung below a platform used by kids that climb the tree, so it might not have been the best place for a bird house.
All of the bird boxes are insured, lest they fall on somebody’s head. Everything in England is insured.
