Question by B B: How can I adopt/purchase a bird of prey?
Looking for a small to medium sized bird of prey indigenous to the southwest (NV) desert area. I live on the edge of the city on a mountain with miles of open land around me. I have a list of these birds & am a member of the the audubon society, however I don’t where or how to adopt/purchase one? Prefer a hawk or perhaps a falcon..

I’m not sure it would be allowed for you to have a bird of prey, but my thought is that the best way to find out would be to ask the wildlife officials in your area.
My guess is that you’d have to have special permission to have one.
