2/8/2007 – I’m getting ready for the spring birds by getting a new bird feeder. This cylindrical style with two different kind of feeder tray/perch.
I’m wondering, and this is for all you Western Oklahoma area bird watchers out there, should I swap the regular seed trays out for the finch / thistle seed trays?
I already have 3 regular seed feeders in the yard and I often put out a thistle sock for the smaller birds.

Frequently I have dozens of these sweet little birds visiting my several thistle seed feeders.
