Cuz aussies are herding dogs…not hunting dogs or anything like that.

“Mini” Aussies are mixed breeds, they breed in Poms and Shelties for size. So it’s really a crapshoot in regards to anything you ask.
It wouldn’t be uncommon for her to get a bird. Hunting dogs don’t kill birds, they have soft mouths for retrieving. An Aussie who maims/kills a bird is just exhibiting prey drive, which a ll dogs have to some extent.
