Question by countrygal_cc: What Causes Hummingbirds To All Of A Sudden Disappear?
Hello recently I have had about 4 hummingbirds coming along eating out of my two feeders constantly the past couple of days I haven’t seen them anywhere. I have both of my feeders full of nectar I buy first nature hummingbird nectar Liquid Sugar Concentrate at Walmart I use 1/4 on it and fill the rest up to a cup with water. I have tried using water and sugar but I get too many ants. Where has my hummingbirds gone?

Hummingbirds are very vulnerable to chemicals used in gardens, and they may have been poisoned.
Also, the stuff you are feeding them would be like feeding your kids nothing but candy. I don’t know if it would have killed them, but it certainly doesn’t do them any good to have their natural food which is chock full of vitamins and antioxidants be replaced with sugar water.
If you are going to feed wildlife, please read up on it and feed them things that contain nutrients.
