ok so about a month and a half ago…amybe even 2 months ago..my sister and my dad discovered that a bird made a nest in the garage..yes my dad built a garage but hasen’t been able to get the doors for it yet which explains why the bird made a nest in there. my sister said that the eggs hatched yesterday. Their are 2 of them. Now my question is how long are the babies going to be in the nest for? i think my dad wants to know because he wants to put the garage doors on the garage already lol. if it depends on the type of bird i have no idea what type of bird it is. all i know is that it’s like black n brownish. If it helps to say that i live in new york (cause of the type of birds that live here)
i’m not touching the nest. we’re leaving it alone. i was just curious of when they will leave.

You should leave the nest alone. The nest could fall apart easily. The babies will probably stay in the nest until they get their feathers, which is about 14 days. It’s normal for a baby bird to leave the nest before it can fly, the parents will still know the where their young is, and still will feed it.
Good luck!
