Question by mortgage1: Where can I buy birds sitting on their eggs in NY?
My class would like to have as a project any type of bird from pigeons to ducks sit on their eggs to hatch them. Where can I buy such a mother bird with eggs? pet store? breeder?
I’m willing to buy a breeding pair and have them lay eggs in their new spot.

You cant. The only way to do it legally is to buy a hen/female duck/pigeon and let it lay eggs on its own.
