Question by redline2200: Is the bird-feeding industry a strongly seasonal industry?
Assuming a location such as Illinois (or any place with drastic seasonal variation), do bird seed sales have drastic seasonal trends? It seems logical they would but then again people may be more likely to feed birds in the winter out of pity for them, and yet nature related activites are naturally higher in the summer.
Opinions from those familiar with the hobby?

not really. people change the type of food they put out.
