Question by Dances with Unicorns: Did you know that today through Monday is the Great Backyard Bird Count?
Have you participated? If you’d like to participate, you can add your observations to thousands of others. It’s very interesting, and no cost except a little of your time. It’s part of the Cornell University’s Ornithology Lab’s program, and they do it twice a year. If you can identify the birds in your backyard (or even SOME of them) you can join in. How about it?

Yes, I knew I’ve been counting all day and will log my observations. Our little backyard bird garden is constant joy to my mother . I would like to see more participation in all the ways to enjoy birding.
