A few nice pictures of birds images I found:

SAVANNAH, Ga. –The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District used dredged material from maintaining the Savannah Harbor to construct a bird nesting island offshore between Tybee Island, Ga., and Daufuskie Island, S.C. The island was named Tomkins Island after a Savannah District employee who documented Savannah area birdlife in the 1950s. It provides rare, protected, bare-ground habitat for a variety of beach nesting birds and created additional storage capacity for dredged material containment. The Corps’ Operations Division maintains the island in a bare condition to attract beach nesting birds, while the Planning Division performs periodic inspections and conducts nesting surveys with S.C. state staff.
