Question by Sar049: Why is a bird guarding my garden?
I have recently had a new bird table and since i have had it a thrush (not sure which one but know its a thrush) is looking very much as though it is guarding my garden, it is seeing other birds off if they go to feed off my bird table and sits either on my shed, fence or in a tree in the garden always looking in my garden he sits there all day long, any ideas????

Either the bird became territorial over your garden, has a nest nearby, or simply wishes to stay because there is food available. Now you don’t have to worry about pests when there’s a guard bird
