Pictures Of Birds Q&A: What type of bird is this?

Question by Tyrni: What type of bird is this?
I saved this bird from the middle of a road, it had gotten trapped in a bag.. after I took it to a near by place and it was fine and flew away does anybody know what this bird is exactly, I have never seen one before here are the pictures I have taken.

Also I got some puncture marks from it’s nails, if you know anything about possible infection please let me know.

Thanks for the answers I think I have found out that it’s a common swift. which is similar to the Purple Martin, thanks for putting me on the right track =)

It’s obviously a snype. Snypes are a very dangerous species of bird. If the feel threatened they may inject you with an extremely poisounous substance using their beaks. They also might turn into a llama.
