Question by DramaQueenNellie: is it illegal to keep a wild baby sparrow in ohio?
i found a baby sparrow a short time ago and ive been taking excellent care of it and its doing really well. im afraid that it might imprint on me (it was only a few days old when i found it) and i was considering keeping it so it wouldn’t die. i was wondering if it was illegal in north east ohio to keep it. any help with this is appreciated. thanks.

ADD: Cornell Univeristy Lab of Ornithology, one of my favorite sites http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/house_sparrow/id and just FYI Ohio Department of Natural Resources (DNR)

If it’s a European Sparrow, also referred to as a common or house sparrow, they are not a protected species. You’re in the clear—the bird police won’t bother you =: ]
