Question by eaglessd: Birds and Winter?
Where do birds go in winter and why?
Best answer:
Answer by Jon G
They fly south. It gets too cold up north for them with the snow and cold and winds, so they fly south to where it stays warm throughout the winter. They can survive and find food there, because insects are still roaming around, where up here most of the insects are dead, and waiting for new eggs to hatch in the spring. If there are no insects, there is no food, and the birds would die.
