Question by baby bird watcher: Is it true, that if you touch a baby bird with your hands, that the mother will not feed it anymore?
2 baby birds have fallen out of a nest in my yard – don’t want them to die, but not sure what to do. I could reach the nest & put them back in, but it appears the nest is too small. There are 4 babies in there & 2 keep falling out. Can the mother get them back in the nest somehow?
They’re not fledging I don’t think – they have very few feathers – one is decent size; the other is very small. I can still see their skin thru their feathers.

no that is not true… its an old wives tale to keep kids from playing with baby birds
