Short Hills – “Hi-Larious” Bird Feeder

My father was interested in attracting birds to the back yard in Short Hills. He bought a number of bird feeders. They were intended to feed birds, particularly small birds, without feeding squirrels, large birds, and other undesirables. Results were mixed.
This "Hi-Larious" bird feeder was his favorite. The platform was designed to close off access to food if the weight on it was too great. It has five "customers" in this photo. I do not know how bird seed got on the roof. Probably something done by the undesirables.
