Question by Collin: How to care for a baby bird?
So my cat found a baby bird tonight out of it’s nest. It has feathers, eyes are open, but it’s clearly a baby. It appears to not have any bad injuries (he was running around the box he was in). So we gave him a tiny bit of water, and he is currently in a box with a heating pad and a blanket over. The temp is set to “warm” (the lowest temperature) and he is sleeping.
In the morning we were planning on finding the nest to return him. We would tonight but it is really cold and windy out.
Does anyone have any advice or tips for our current situation? Because we have no way of feeding him and only set a small dish with a thin layer of water in with him(if they can even drink that way). is there anything else we can do while we wait for morning? any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Try and figure out the species. Search how to care for it using Google. Who knows if the mother bird will take it back after it has human scent all over it.
Don’t let your cat get to it. Google is your friend on this one……
You can always dig up worms and feed it with by hanging the worm out of your mouth (make sure its not too big of a piece) and making noise like your the mother bird while you drop it into the babies mouth. I do this whenever I find a baby bird.
