Question by Angie: Where can you buy a victorian Flight bird cage?
I’m planning to buy “white doves” but depending on the dove some are 2,000 bucks and are expensive like the mute swan.
So.. I’m planning to get the bullys-eyed white ringneck dove. it’s around 32.oo and plus getting them in a set. Male and female. So.. it comes to like $ 113.00 bucks.
But I’m having problems finding a fancy victorian flight bird cage that’s huge. I want to put it on the deck, then release them.. and so they have flight movement around outside.
Do you know any sites that carry victorian flight bird cages?

If you purchase ringneck doves for release, they will probably die of cold, hunger or get preyed upon.
That is because they are captive bred and they don’t know how to survive the outdoors.
You want a white rock dove.
I love my ringneck doves. The idea of releasing them to fend for themselves is unspeakably cruel. If this is for a wedding, this is a bad omen for your marriage, and bad karma.
There is also no such thing as a Victorian flight cage. During the Victorian era, birds were not kept in flight cages, they were kept in very small cages and garden aviaries, when climate and finances allowed it. A flight cage is a large cage that allows them to fly. That is a recent invention, based on what we know today about what makes our birds happy.
